back from the dead (+ melbourne)

a long time ago when allie was jacked up on pain meds following her tonsil operation we booked a vacation to melbourne. we were both the absolute worst at planning + were running around the day before looking for coats + packing + stressing out.

highlights: coconut bread i got at the airport. free wifi. sam smith. melbourne weather being humidity free + keeping our makeup perf for hours. angel the beautiful faced waiter. getting the window seats on both flights. takeaway sundaes. cackling about kim k hollywood at 2am. misty's dinner making all of my dreams come true. naked for satan. personal spotlight in our lounge room. allie asking if i thought people thought we were a couple on holiday at least twice a day. the insane sale at clear it. slow-mo setting on the iphone camera. braiding allie's rope hair. stealing someone's do not disturb sign + hurling it into the hallway. allie falling in love with the mecca cosmetica girl who served her + then fucking it up with her in every way possible. "you are the cutest girl ive ever seen". singing money on mind on slow mo cam. drunk allie stealing some girl's bday present. getting sundaes from baby lorde. my hair accidentally matching the pink wigs the girls at benefit had on. texting secretly when in the cab every time we got a cab. hangin out in the lounge. #lesbianholiday

lowlights: my intense travel sickness. duck fat. waking up and thinking allie was dead because she had taken her shirt off + looked dead. taking care of babu. finding allie's half eaten pasta on her side of the bed. getting risotto in my scarf. sad moments thinking about returning to unemployment. allie's disgusting pods. spending lots of money at the benefit counter only to return to the hotel + realise they hadn't put any of my stuff in my bag. giving allie my myki card + her losing it within 24 hours. me feeling guilty about how messy our apartment was + tidying it before room service came around. trying not buy nars stuff but still eventually buying stuff from nars.
